The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

We are seeking 2 part-time Student Research Workers at the School of Nursing that will work on a federally funded project focused on influence of daily stressors on blood pressure among diverse adults. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Student Research Workers will assist in the implementation of this study.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience conducting health research and working in a team-oriented environment with frequent interaction with research participants, graduate students, and research staff.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting individuals for participation in the study;
  • Conduct all research activities in accordance with study protocols and other appropriate institutional regulations, procedures, and policies, including procedures to safeguard confidentiality of study participants.
  • Administer structured interviews;
  • Train participants on study procedures including electronic diaries, saliva collection, and home blood pressure monitoring;
  • Track the collection of study data.
  • Assist with REDCap database design, security, data storage and management;
  • Engage with community members to disseminate study findings;
  • Prepare manuscripts and abstracts for dissemination of research findings;
  • Complete literature reviews as needed; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This is a grant-funded position and employment is contingent upon continued funding.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic data capture systems
  • Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment.
  • Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals.
  • Capable of working effectively in research groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research or healthcare.
  • Experience conducting research with diverse populations.
