Position Summary

The International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) at Columbia University is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support its Compliance Team. This role involves assisting with immigration document review, currency conversions, data entry, and other administrative support tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process immigration-related documents.
  • Perform currency conversions and ensure data accuracy.
  • Enter and manage data within office systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Compliance Team as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, and database tools is a plus.
  • Motivated, tech-savvy, positive, and independent work style.

Work Schedule

  • Spring and Fall Semesters: 8–20 hours per week.
  • Summer Term: 30–40 hours per week.
  • Work hours are flexible but must fall within Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST).
