Position Summary

The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Columbia University seeks to hire a student to help with the setting up of a database in a web-based platform to support the tracking of students’ academic progress.  The student will be under the supervision of Dr. Noemie Elhadad, Graduate Education Director.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing data tables.
• Assist with creating and testing of reports.
• Creation of a user guide.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma and some relevant college coursework.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.

Other Requirements

• Prior experience in setting up of relational databases.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and project management software (e.g., Notion).
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a team setting.
• Excellent attention to detail.
