Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Business Processes Management, the Senior Analyst is responsible for the data collection process, data integrity, accuracy, and reporting analytics for the Columbia University Facilities and Operations (CUF&O) Minority, Woman and Local (MWL) program related to the Manhattanville Campus construction projects and other CUFO spending.
Responsibilities
They are responsible for reviewing all MWL reports and analyzing the results for consistency and completeness. The Senior Analyst monitors compliance with the University’s Manhattanville MWL reporting commitments with New York State.
Working largely independently on a day-to-day basis, the Senior Analyst will work closely with the Associate Director to review, revise, and develop required MWL reporting procedures and workflow processes to maintain the integrity and accuracy of MWL data. Most solutions utilize a combination of Excel, SQL, SSAS, and Power BI.
The Senior Analyst works closely with the Construction Business Services and Communications group and interfaces with construction managers, contractors, and CUF&O project managers on matters related to MWL data gathering and reporting. They will train CUF&O project managers and contractors on MWL reporting policies and procedures.
The Senior Analyst is responsible for the design and implementation of improvements to existing MWL related systems and reporting, as well as playing a key role in the design development of new databases and reporting platforms.
In addition to MWL duties, the Senior Analyst provides other forms of support to the Associate Director as necessary. This includes collection of data and reporting from numerous University and departmental systems via front-end interfaces, reporting sites, and custom SQL queries against the CUF&O data warehouse, communications with managers and vendors, and interaction with other University departments regarding data feeds, systems, and reporting.
The Senior Analyst performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
