Position Summary
The Research Coordinator will work on a project in the lab of the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics. The project identifies and investigates novel primary immune deficiencies related to human Natural Killer (NK) cells. Our pipeline includes clinical identification, genetic and genomic investigations (whole exome sequencing), and basic biological research. The candidate will work with researchers, physicians and patients to coordinate various aspects of the project.

Responsibilities
Performing clinical data analysis.
Advanced lab assays (specifically 51Cr-release assays on human blood lymphocytes).Obtain Patient Consent.
Responsible for training new researchers in lab.
Responsible for entering data into various databases.
Provide oversight and manage annual renewal of human research protocols.
Maintain records and data for protocol compliance.
Communication with outside investigators and patients.
Responsible for DNA prep and Sample prep.
Responsible for shipping and arranging shipment of biologicals to/from around the world.
Performs basic lab assays.
Responsible for communicating updates and procedures directly to patients and referring health providers.
Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
