Position Summary
We are seeking two Research Assistants (RA) to join a team of researchers working on one or more human research studies in the Division of Behavioral Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Current studies include: effects of a cocoa flavanol supplementation on cognitive function (clinical trial); and psychophysiological studies of autonomic regulation of cardiovascular and immune system function (multidisciplinary, observational, epidemiological studies). Duties will include study participant recruitment via telephone screening; instructing participants and guiding them through intervention and study protocols to promote and measure supplement adherence. The RA also will liaise with and schedule participants for sessions to collect outcomes data measured by collaborating research teams (MRI brain scan and neuropsychological tests). Training will be provided for these specialized tasks and supervised by study investigators. Also responsible for maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment; collecting, storing and inventorying data collected during the studies.
Other duties and projects may also be assigned. This is a position for 2 years.
