Position Summary
The grant-funded Research Assistant (six months, part-time, up to 12 hours per week) will support a project focused on trunk control and balance improvement in children with cerebral palsy. The role involves coordinating and delivering physical therapy interventions, including motor learning-based gait training using robotic devices to enhance gross motor skills, postural control, and walking abilities.
Responsibilities
80% – Conduct Evaluations & Provide PT Interventions
Administer motor learning and control-based physical therapy interventions for children with cerebral palsy.
Utilize robotic training devices to improve participants’ gross motor skills, postural control, and walking abilities.
15% – Data Collection & Entry
Collect cardiopulmonary and physical therapy measurements, including: Heart rate, Blood pressure, Timed Up & Go (TUG), test, 10-meter walk test, Segmental Assessment of Trunk Control (SATCo), and Motor learning parameters
Accurately enter all collected data into the RedCAP database for the TruST and mTPAD Projects.
5% – Data Entry
Maintain and update research data records as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a research environment.
