We seek an outstanding customer-service oriented candidate for a Research Outreach Coordinator (Research Assistant) position. This position will provide in-person, email, and telephone support to individuals - including patients, community partners, and the general public - to learn more about the All of Us Research Program.  All of Us is enrolling participants in the New York City area and from patient clinics on the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus.  This is a multi-year, multi-site research program that aims to bring in nearly 100,000 participants, from New York City, to the NYC Consortium, which consists of Columbia University, Weill Cornell Medicine, Harlem Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian. 

Responsibilities

• Approach potential participants in outpatient clinics in waiting rooms, at community events, campus events, as well as in an inpatient setting.
• Explain the All of Us Research Program to participants and facilitate digital enrollment in the program if the participant is eligible.
• Work in partnership with Clinical Research Coordinators who will facilitate the bio-specimen and physical measurement collections from participants. 
• Support the day-to-day recruitment and retention of subjects for this study, which include but are not limited to: active interaction with potential and current participants over the phone, in patient waiting rooms and community events, participating in weekly meetings with enrollment team, data collection, maintaining screening and recruitment logs, obtaining in-person informed consent, and assessing and reporting barriers to recruitment.
• Will be required to relate to diverse populations.
• Will connect with participants to build a rapport for long-term commitment and engagement with the All of Us Research Program.
• Communications skills include excellent written communication skills, compassion, discretion, and follow-through.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience
• The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Outreach Coordinators may be required to work during evening or weekend outreach events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, fluency in other languages will be considered.
