Position Summary

The Project Manager works closely with the Director in providing administrative and scientific support to the laboratories in ADARC.


Responsibilities

  • Follow scientific activities enough to understand the tasks to be accomplished and the scientific priorities.
  • Assist to troubleshoot scientific problems by identifying the appropriate resources and personnel to help ensure that projects proceed without delay.
  • Coordinate and track the movement of samples and materials between institutions involved with the grant.
  • Coordinate and track the generation, flow and reporting of data arising from project activities.
  • Help to coordinate the establishment of contacts, sub awards, MTAs, CDAs, CTAs and other documents required for the successful initiation and completion of project activities.
  • Work with budget office to track project expenditures, both internally and with sub awards and subcontracts.
  • Assist in tracking and coordinating compliance with grant timelines and milestones.
  • Organize and facilitate project team meetings as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience plus three years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An undergraduate science degree in molecular biology, virology or related field.
  • Laboratory experience with molecular biology, blood, blood-related products, or blood research-related techniques.
