Position Summary

The Columbia University Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry/New York State Psychiatric Institute seeks a masters-level program manager to oversee clinical trial research in pediatric anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, and support research-to-clinical translation. This role may be split between research and clinical settings, depending on experience and interest. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. 

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage regulatory procedures for human subject research (e.g., IRB protocol, consent forms, interview data).
• Perform diagnostic assessments (Anxiety Disorders Interview Schedule, ADIS or Kiddie-Schedule for Affective Disorder and Schizophrenia, KSADS) for research protocols.
• Lead efforts to recruit child research participants from the community and interface with clinical staff at the Columbia University Center for Anxiety and Related Disorder (CUCARD) to foster the interest and involvement of clinicians and clinic patients in clinical trial research.
• Prepare applications/reports for IRB, Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), chinicaltrials.gov, and research sponsors (e.g., NIH). 
• Assist in hiring, on-boarding, and oversight of research assistants. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required; 4 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 3 years of clinical-research experience, preferably
• Experience delivering the ADIS and/or KSADS helpful, but not required.

Other Requirements

• Must successfully complete online systems training requirements
• Experience with clinical research protocols/IRB is necessary 
• Basic computer skills - word processing, spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
