Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is seeking to hire a highly effective administrator who will provide support to departmental education programs that span the continuum from undergraduate to graduate and continuing medical education. This includes, but is not limited to, residency and fellowship GME programs, medical school education, summer internships, student clinical rotation programs, and graduate programs.
The Administrative Manager will work with several academic and administrative directors and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate day-to-day operations for a variety of department programs and initiatives. This entails acting as an administrative liaison between departmental leadership, program directors, residents, fellows, students and administrative offices ensuring the smooth flow of planning, preparation and execution of activities related to maintaining program accreditation, recruitment, and effectiveness. Acts as a resource to and assists the central administrative teams with financial matters including budget development, monitoring and expense allocation; hospital and university position appointments and salary allocation; contract and program compliance and accreditations; provides guidance regarding administrative issues, due dates, and deadlines. Responsible for supervising, training of the fellowship and residency coordinator.

Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree. Preference is given to candidates who have academic center experience.
Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, superior verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability be able to work well with all levels of employees, be flexible in nature, and have sound judgment with an open and collaborative style that encourages teamwork and cooperation beyond immediate team to the broader organization.
Excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, oral, and written communication skills; ability to prioritize assignments.
Other Requirements
Highly proficient Microsoft Office skills, be comfortable working with databases and computerized financial systems.
