Position Summary

Reporting to the Deputy CIO, the incumbent will have the responsibilities to architect, implement and support enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure and application solutions within M365. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the engineering, design, testing, tooling and support of enterprise messaging, and collaboration toolsets to M365. The incumbent will have a very strong technical foundation, a strategic mind-set and great communication skills. Work on most phases of projects on their own as well as work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximize M365 functionality. Evaluate related hardware and software products and make recommendations for adoption. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to  the Deputy CIO. Perform related duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Manages Enable, administer, and monitor Microsoft 365 products and services including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and Teams - 30%
  • Design and lead the development of applications and solutions that are optimized for the productivity and collaboration using the M365 platform -10%
  • Plan and implement information protection solutions, sensitivity labels and policies. -10%
  • Support M365 BAU workloads (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive), primarily Exchange Online -10%
  • Support ProofPoint and CASB infrastructure - 5%
  • Implement and manage M365 licenses, usage, and governance - 5%
  • A good working knowledge of the entire M365 stack, including their interactions and use cases – 5%
  • Resolution ownership of technical challenges for M365 projects and the technical escalation point for implementation teams -10%
  • Lead, manage, and enable project team members at various levels - 5%
  • Interact with developers and vendors to install/configure services related to M365 workloads – 5%
  • Other duties as required – 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience. Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Exchange Online, centralized mail, ProofPoint, CASB and M365 workloads (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive) – installation, configuration, licensing, load balancers, troubleshooting mail flow, message tracking and governance. The incumbent includes experience with ProofPoint and CASB applications that are used for hygiene the mail flow and DLP. Advanced skills for troubleshooting any mail related problems. General proficiency in bash and PowerShell.
  • A thorough understanding of and experience in networking principles; including Windows and Linux server operating systems and its administrations; proficiency in Active Directory administration and design; TCP/IP protocols and stack; LAN/WAN connectivity; Experience with DNS, SAN and Microsoft SQL
  • Proficiency in bash and PowerShell scripting. Experience and understanding Virtualization. Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of users with different computing requirements and backgrounds. Ability to think about technical problems and business problems with a technical dimension critically and creatively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a team player and ability to work independently

Other Requirements

  • Rotating On-Call coverage, on nights and weekends, is required for this position
