Position Summary

A Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is sought to assist with recruitment, assessment, and follow-up of a cohort study and to coordinate the conduct of a clinical trial. Candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to exercise independent judgment within the scope of the research in order to meet expected goals. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the CRC will work with other research staff, collect data, and communicate with a data coordinating center.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the conduct of a cohort study including recruitment of participants, assessment, and follow-up.
• Serve as a back-up for the conduct and coordination of a clinical trial including working with other study personnel, performing data collection as well as screening and recruitment of study participants.
• Prepare and maintain manual of operations; create study questionnaires; and provide translation of documents from English to Spanish.
• Responsible for preparation of documents for renewals, modifications, yearly submissions, correspondence, and audit related to IRB for all research studies.
• Prepare quarterly database query report and resolution of queries.
• Assists in the preparation of submissions for scientific conferences.
• Assist with financial tracking and confirmation of invoices for study related expenses (taxi vouchers, lab and study material supplies).
• Responsible for inventory and procurement of laboratory and office supplies.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years related experience.
• Willingness to do field work (recruitment and data collection in the community including participants' homes) and have a flexible schedule. The study requires assessments after hours and on weekends, within the weekly hours of work.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) language skills required due to the scope of the study.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy.
