Position Summary

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Clinical Coordinator II (RN) assigned to work in the Faculty Practice Organization at CUIMC. This is a part-time, clinical position that will primarily involve administering Ketamine infusions for depression and monitoring patients. Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve establishing IV access, administration of Ketamine and IV fluids via peripherally inserted catheters, establishing, assessing, drawing and flushing lines, assisting with entering labs, vital sign monitoring and entry, monitoring and logging medication inventory, EKG administration, peripheral blood draws, and ensuring availability of necessary supplies. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across disciplines and function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

• Candidate(s) will identify, assess and diagnose problems through patient assessment and interactions; before during and after start of therapy.
• Will develop and educate patients and family on Ketamine.
• Will utilize knowledge of medications, procedures, infection control, and safety precaution.
• Will work closely with a clinical team, including other psychologists/social workers, psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse-practitioners.
• Will have opportunities to attend case conferences, peer supervision and Grand Rounds at CUIMC. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus 4 years related experience 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering intravenous infusions
• Experience working with psychiatric patients

• Physician billing
• Registered Nurse
• NYS license required
• BCLS certification
