Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Clinical Coordinator II - RN to join our team in a full-time position to work within the division of Allergy and Immunology in the White Plains, NY Clinical Practice. The Clinical Coordinator II-RN role will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to the development of a sustained environment of excellence in patient-centered service.

Responsibilities
Provide patient education such as reviewing emergency action plan, performing EpiPen training, delivering asthma MDI training along with reviewing asthma action plan and self-injections, explaining medication dosage and schedule, as well as basic food avoidance measures and environmental avoidance.
Perform in-office test-prep(s), including but not limited to patch testing, Spirometry, food and drug challenges, and allergy skin tests, placing and obtaining results for interpretation.
Administer shots and vaccines, mix and manage patient serums; and prepare and label specimens with clinical data and document when needed.
Manage patient lab results, which involves signing off on all normal test results and escalating all abnormal to the Physicians’ attention. Obtain lab reports as needed for providers; file/upload lab reports in the EMR system; enter patient data into the EMR system and maintain the EMR database.
Acquire pre-authorizations for supplies and medications; forward test results to referring physicians and patients/their parents as requested; and contact pharmacy for patient prescriptions and refills.
Assist Physician in the exam room; and triage patient calls and cover service calls, as needed.
Ensure service excellence by becoming thoroughly familiar with the Seven Pillars of Behavior and putting them into practice in carrying out job responsibilities.
Adhere to all applicable HIPAA, billing compliance and safety guidelines.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong time management skills, multi-tasking abilities and the ability to exercise good judgment.
Previous experience with pediatric populations and asthma.
