Position Summary
As a key member of Disability Services Case Management team and under general supervision, the Case Manager will provide case management services for students with a range of disabilities enrolled in clinical and didactic programs on the CUIMC campus, including medical, dental, nursing, and other health sciences programs. This position is integral to furthering accessibility and inclusion for students with disabilities at Columbia and will work closely with faculty, clinical training sites, and University partners to remove barriers to learning, clinical training, co-curricular programs, and resources.
Given the clinical nature of the CUIMC student population, this role requires familiarity with technical standards and the clinical training requirements of health professional education, and the ability to facilitate accommodations across classroom, laboratory, and clinical placement settings.
This is an essential onsite role that requires occasional weekend and late evening hours during times of peak operational volume. Some hybrid work options may be considered. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Case Managers are cross-trained professionals who work with parties through a trauma-informed lens and collaborate with campus partners to help navigate a variety of challenges by making the appropriate referrals for individuals to receive additional outreach and intervention. |
| Sr Assoc Director-Clinical Svc | New York | Columbia Health | Exercises leadership in all aspects of urgent care needs and crisis management for Counseling & Psychological Services. The incumbent oversees the drop-in clinics (i.e., Urgent Concerns hours) and rapid access to care for students in crisis or at high levels of distress, as well as for students of concern referred by campus partners. Serves as a core member of the Crisis Management Team; provides timely guidance to campus personnel regarding students who appear to be at risk or are highly disruptive; offers training and consultation to clinical staff in all aspects of crisis intervention; serves as a thought leader in effective and innovative approaches to the early identification of, and timely intervention with, students at risk; and participates in administrative evaluations, and threat assessments. Acts on behalf of the Director of CPS Clinical Services in the Director’s absence. This is an essential, onsite role. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. |
