Position Summary
The HEALing Communities Study will generate evidence about how tools for preventing and treating opioid addiction are most effective at the local level. This NIDA-funded multisite implementation research study will test the impact of an integrated set of evidence-based interventions across healthcare, behavioral health, justice, and other community-based settings in 16 New York State highly affected counties. The goal is to prevent and treat opioid misuse and opioid use disorder (OUD) and significantly reduce opioid related deaths over three years.
Biostatistician
We are seeking a public health professional with proven statistical analysis skills to provide a wide range of advanced statistical expertise, guidance, and support to HCS researchers, scientists, and staff. The incumbent participates in the design, development, and reporting of the New York HCS by analyzing and interpreting data when responding to a broad range of complex statistical issues that arise. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence, high degree of professional maturity, flexibility, and initiative. The successful candidate will also be able to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.
