The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

The Associate Drupal Developer maintains and enhances Columbia College's portfolio of websites. The Developer is responsible for site building, site administration, module development and site maintenance.  The incumbent works closely with the Associate Director to build new websites and enhance existing sites maintained by CCIT.  This position works with the Associate Director to plan and execute new websites and web publishing tools to fulfill the needs of the College.


Responsibilities

A. Maintains the College’s portfolio of Drupal-based sites.

  • Monitor, maintain, and improve website stability, performance, and security.
  • Work with Columbia College staff to manage website configurations, troubleshoot issues, and provide new features.
  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation for websites.

B. Develops new Drupal-based sites or new features for existing websites:

  • Works with internal clients to understand their business models and goals to help define strategy, content and features for their websites and/or applications.
  • Identify existing (contributed) code or develop custom code to implement strategy, content, and features.
  • Manages several converging projects with different timeframes and deliverables

C. Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience.
  • Experience designing, coding and customizing themes for content management systems.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under short and changing deadlines, while ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and tact in a professional setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Drupal website development and administration (versions 7 and 9).
  • Understanding of UNIX and command-line tools.
  • Experience with source code versioning, preferably git.
  • Understanding of web application and internet infrastructure.
  • Understanding of computer science concepts such as OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience developing and maintaining custom Drupal modules.
  • Experience with web development using a PHP framework, preferably Symfony.
