Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Assessment and Faculty Development, the Associate Director, Faculty Assessment and Development. will support the School of Professional Studies by developing metrics to assess instructional effectiveness, interpreting their results, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting faculty in their development as instructors and researchers . As a foundational member of the Faculty Assessment and Development team, the Associate Director of Faculty Assessment and Development will be charged with measuring the impact of faculty development programming on instructional practices as well as leading and overseeing pedagogical workshops and teaching forums.
The Associate Director will be a major stakeholder in the formation of policies around faculty assessment, particularly with part-time faculty, and will work closely with Academic Affairs leadership to implement these policies. The Associate Director will research best available assessment instruments, adapt existing instruments, and create new instruments when necessary. The Associate Director will need to be a strong collaborator and team player who prizes collegiality and can work effectively with a diverse staff.
