Position Summary

The Assistant Athletics Director for Success Through Well-Being is responsible for assisting with the management of the area of Enrichment Services that serves over 800 student-athletes, with a specific focus on managing career development services for student-athletes within varsity sports programs . The incumbent serves as a liaison with various constituents (campus, alumni, and employers) and student-athletes, coaches, and department staff regarding important career development information and relevant processes. The incumbent develops, implements, and manages career development programming, action plans, and databases (alumni/employer and student-athlete) and identifies and communicates employment opportunities with student-athletes. Role manages hiring and supervision of STWB casual employees within University and department policy. Role supports with STWB budget preparation, expenditure controls, and management of NCAA student assistance funds and reporting. Enrichment Services includes NCAA academic progress, academic enhancement and well-being programming, academic support advising, tutoring, and career development. Serves as a resource for coaches, student-athletes, and staff, as well as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Success Through Well-Being in developing and delivering Success Through Well-Being programming, resources, and initiatives.
