The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director and Program Manager of the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics, the Administrative Assistant will provide support to CPMG and Nephrology Division and coordinate specific administrative tasks for ongoing projects and operations.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain CPMG seminar series, including scheduling, advertising, and speaker arrangements.
- Responsible for preparation of agendas, meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations, and communications with participants for internal and external meetings.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and assist with processing reimbursements.
- Coordinate event logistics, which include daily/weekly/monthly meetings, conferences, travel arrangements and registrations.
- Assist with advertising, scheduling interviews, and hiring for internships.
- Monitor CPMG website and listserv.
- Assist with existing filing systems and databases for ongoing and past projects.
- Provide general support including but not limited to telecom and IT support requests.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in training, education, and/or experience plus at least two years related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with exceptional judgment, discretion and diplomacy
- Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office
