Position Summary

Schedule:  Must be able to work a flexible work schedule with weekend, late night and early morning required.

Reporting to the Resident Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping operations in the building and help ensure daily housekeeping operations run smoothly and guests are satisfied


  • Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff;
  • Inspecting work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met;
  • Delivery of linen, blankets, pillows, and “in-room” amenities to guest rooms;
  • Providing coverage during instances of staff shortages which may include cleaning linen, preparing guest beds, properly arranging amenities, and retrieving linens from guest rooms after usage;
  • Additional duties also include freshening bathroom areas; removal of garbage; laundering, counting and sorting linen; organizing and cleaning linen rooms and work areas; operating linen exchange tables; and preparing room status reports;
  • Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed;
  • Other related duties are required as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Two – Three years’ experience in the related field.
  • The Housekeeping Supervisor must be able to perform tasks independently with great attention to detail.  
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills. 
  • Some heavy lifting may be required and the ability to stand for extended period of times is required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills are required. 
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests and employees required. 
  • The ability to work with a diverse group of people is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of housekeeping strongly preferred.
