Position Summary

Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, the ServiceNow Developer is responsible for the development of the ServiceNow platform. The candidate must demonstrate development experience in ServiceNow application customization using client scripts, Business Rules UI Scripts, etc.


Responsibilities

  • Utilize best practices for development, conduct thorough testing, analyze and certify all changes to ServiceNow  25%
  • Configure/customize the ServiceNow system including workflows  20%
  • Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems  15%
  • Receive specifications from the IT department and deliver a product/release that meets the needs presented, and work directly with IT management to align ServiceNow with IT organization strategy  10%
  • Maintain and support ServiceNow operational functions  10%
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application  10%
  • Research and deploy new releases and/or enhancements into the ServiceNow live environment  5%
  • Other duties as assigned  5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow development experience (Kingston preferred)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, web applications, networks, protocols, email (SMTP, POP3) Active Directory, LDAP
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • excellent decision making and problem solving skills
  • strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and follow-up
  • ServiceNow Application Developer Certification
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification 
  • ITIL Certification
  • PowerShell, SaaS applications
  • Single sign-on using SAML 2.0 and Web Services integrations
