The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Services the Senior Analyst, Clinical Finance and Operations for the Department of Neurology will support the clinical mission of the department through monitoring of clinical productivity targets and finances.  The Senior Analyst will work collaboratively with clinical administrators and providers to develop analytics to support the clinical operations of the department.


Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate reporting and data analytics on functioning of clinical practice for a number of key operating metrics including, but not limited to, visit volumes, charges, payments, wRVUs and patient access indicators
  • Participate in development of annual productivity metrics for department and individual faculty
  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports documenting progress against productivity targets.  Identifies areas where performance is below expectations and raises concerns.
  • Supports business planning process for faculty recruitment through analysis of existing clinical activity and development of plausible scenarios for planned recruit
  • Performs ad hoc analysis of clinical services to assess operational productivity and financial performance
  • Maintains database of schedules for outpatient sessions, clinics, coverage of inpatient service lines and call-coverage
  • Participate in monthly practice manager meetings to present and review key performance metrics with managers and to continuously increase their knowledge base of clinical operations

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of clinical revenue cycle management and practice operations preferred.


Other Requirements

Requires a bright, competent, and organized individual that is self-motivated, reliable, conscientious, and able to solve analytical problems, as well as plan independently. Must be able to work with all levels of staff. 

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient or Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel and in the use of EPIC generated data. Highly skilled in MS Word. Ability to meet deadlines and maintain required confidentiality
