Position Summary

Columbia University School of Nursing is looking to hire two Columbia University students as short-term casuals to provide research support for several federally-funded projects in the areas of primary care, health care workforce, and racial and ethnic health disparities in chronic diseases. The incumbents will work with a team of researchers at Columbia Nursing.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • assisting with data collection, data management and analysis,
  • conducting literature reviews,
  • assisting with grant and manuscript preparation, and
  • performing other duties as assigned. 

This position is grant funded and continued employment will be contingent upon the grant.  


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s diploma or equivalent;
  • Strong analytical and writing skills are required;
  • Knowledge of/experience working in biostatistics is required;
  • Experience with research projects; 
  • Strong attention to detail; 
  • Excellent organizational skills; and
  • Experience with data software such as STATA or SAS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • A biostatistics background is highly preferred.
